Aurifil Blog Hop Redux

Welcome to Part 2 of the Aurifil Blog Hop. Remember in February when 9 bloggers each made a quilt block while learning all about Aurifil thread?

Aurifil Block

Well, now it’s time to set all the blocks into a little quilt and Pat wants your help. All week long (July 5th – July 9th) she’ll be presenting you with options and asking you to leave a comment indicating which settings/color options you prefer. Leave Pat a comment, and in return, you’ll have a chance to win one of Pat’s 40 wt. Aurifil Thread Kits — a super nice prize!

Aurifil Set

Aaannnnddddd, if you leave a comment here, I’ll have a drawing for an Aurifil Sampler Pack.

Aurifil Set

Plus, a little kit of Divine Twine and some bitty scissors, just like I gave away last week.

Aurifil Set

So. You know what you have to do. Have fun!

XOXO,
Anna

Now aren’t those the cutest little packages you have to give away…thank you!! Your block is just too cute!

  2. I absolutely love Aurifil thread! The first time I used it I was for something I was appliquing. It worked so well that I was hooked. Thanks for the chance to win the thread — a girl can never have too much thread!!

  3. Pinwheels are one of my favorite blocks – I love the challenge of getting all the points correct in the center. I have never tried Aurifil thread – no opportunity to buy it yet. But I will look for it on my next fabric run.

  4. Love your block still. :) I would go to Pat’s blog but it’s so busy and confusing that I get distracted and never leave a comment! lol Glad you had a happy 4th! It rained here, which meant that I could stay in and do nothing. Bliss. :)

  5. That pinwheel block is so sweet. And what a lovely giveaway. Where did you find those old fashioned clothespins?? :)

  6. Patricia Hersl

That’s a delightful block. I can see a wonderful baby quilt in there too!

  7. What wonderful prizes you have chosen. You did a wonderful job on that block. I love adding stitching into blocks, it adds such a special touch!

  8. I am enjoying watching the quilt evolve. I’ve never seen a quilt designed by an internet vote before. Should be interesting.

love the little package of twine and of course there is nothing better than Aurifil thread.

  10. Would love to win the “giveaways”! Aurifil 50wt has been the only thread I’ve used for 5 years. Have never been able to find any of the other weights, and I would LOVE to try them! Your divine twine would just be the icing on the cake!

  11. This is fun! I just started using Aurifil and love it! But all I’ve bought so far are boring white, cream and grey so a little colorful Aurifil sampler would be great!

  12. I’ve never used Aurifil thread but from all the review, I think I should! Thanks for the chance to win some.

  13. What a generous gifty! I’ve used Aurifil for piecing for a couple of years. It’s the best!

  14. I’ve never used Aurifil thread but would love to give it a try! The colors and design in your block are so happy! Lovely blog.

  17. Oh please count me in. Now what did you dip those strawberries in? I have got to remember that one for next year!

  18. I love this thread! I’m so envious of your new kitchen, my 40+ year old kitchen so needs to be remodeled.

  19. Of course I remember your block! I love it – esp the pretty little stitchery in the middle. I’ve never used Aurifil, but I’d love to give it a try! ;)

  20. I’ve been loving Aurifil for piecing and applique! So smooth and no lint. I love the colorful twine – I’ve never seen it before – what do you use it for?

  21. I’ve just learned of the redux hop and am now playing catchup. Thankfully it’s only a few days I need to do that with. I love the block here and I have seen so many others commenting about that Twine that I’ve had it on my own wish list for a long time now. I love the look of that twine. So pretty but simple at the same time.

  22. I want to try some Aurifil thread so bad. But, I can’t see paying for shipping as the stuff (any quilting stuff) is expensive. The local quilt shop doesn’t carry them. I think I may take a trip north to a quilt shop there and see if they carry them.

  23. I love your embroidery; it’s so cheery and bright. And those little clothes pegs with the twine and scissors are too cute. Oh and did I mention how I would love to win that Aurofil thread. What a great giveaway!!!

What cute scissors you have there. Pretty scissors seem to be a weakness of mine as I continually tell myself that I NEED to have the newest, cutest, most special scissors, regardless of whether or not I really have enough already. I’d always love to win another pair though (smile).

  44. I liked your block the first time I saw it and really like it now that the quilt is coming together. I voted for yellow and the decision was pink. So, let’s see for day two what the decision will be. Thanks for the prize giveaway too.
