Teddy Rose

Whew!  Can you believe it’s all over for another year?  Did all you Christmas peeps have a good holiday?  It went too fast — it’s all a blur.  If you’re really sad that it’s over, have no fear!  Angel Jem has you covered with a countdown to next Christmas in her sidebar.  (That cracked me up when I read it!)

As promised, Santa was very, very good to our family this year.  And my young nephew cashed in big with this little beauty (being prepped for his big debut):

Teddy Rose

Isn’t he adorable?  We all had so much fun playing with the new puppy on Christmas Day.  After much debate, he’s been named Teddy Rose.  It happened after someone suggested Theodore Roosevelt.  He’s eight weeks of soft and cuddly and even has puppy breath.  Too cute!

Teddy Rose

There’s just one little kink in the whole happy affair though — his big sisters, The Yappers.

Teddy Rose

The Yappers are none too happy about this new development.  MyDadLovesMeBestSister thinks they’re afraid of him.  There was lots of growling, yapping and shaking.  Teddy is oblivious to the whole fear thing — he just wants some playmates!

Teddy Rose

It cracks me up that they’re afraid of him — he’s really not much bigger than they are.  Good thing they’re meeting him now though — he’s a Goldendoodle, so he’s going to be big enough to sit on them if they get too yappy!

Teddy Rose

It briefly looked like there might be some sharing of toys, but it didn’t really last.  Yapper 1 was just  sniffing them for a minute, then she retreated.  Hopefully, they’ll soon be fast friends.

Teddy Rose

This is my favorite picture of the day.  Teddy was so funny — he’d play pretty hard and every hour or two, he’d just drop wherever he was and have a little snooze.  This picture was taken by my cute niece – Santa was very, very good to her this year too.

Teddy Rose

We’re going to have lots of fun playing with cameras.  We started by taking pictures of each other, taking pictures of each other (in very poor light!)

I hope you all had a good, happy Christmas like we did.  And hopefully I’ll be back soon with gingerbread competition pictures (it was a tough voting year) — there’s new computing power in the house, and once TheManoftheHouse starts changing things over…well, hopefully we won’t be off-line for long!  ;-)

XOXO,
Anna

  1. Ooooooh!!! Teddy Rose is absolutely ADORABLE!!!! What a fabulous pressy …. for your house though, he he, not for mine!!!
What a fun Christmas you had!! Hope 2010 is just as fabulous for you!!
    Hugs,
    Joy :o)

  2. Nooooo! Not a Christmas countdown!
Sounds like you guys had a great time. I begin to get nervous each time the hubs mentions IT upgrades… see you on the other side!

  3. OMG there isn’t anything cuter than a puppy. Oh that picture of him asleep in the shoes just makes my heart melt. Sweet, sweet, sweet!

  4. Oh he is so gorgeous! Maybe it will be a good thing if he grows bigger and sits on them, then they might stop yapping, lol!

  5. Oooh, he is a handsome fellow, isn’t he?? What an adorable addition to the family. I’m sure once The Yappers lay it on the line, all will be well.

    :)

  6. Teddy Rose has stolen my heart. My husband and I have been wanting one just like that! Do you have a breeder to share with me?

  7. Yowzers that Teddy Rose is adorable. Some friends have a goldendoodle and the fur on that dog is
so S-O-F-T – I could pet him all day. I’m sure the Yappers will get used to Teddy Rose – especially when there looking up to him instead of eye to eye. Might be awhile before Teddy Rose figures that one out I bet. Good luck on the computer thing :)

    Hugs – Mrs. Farmhouse

  8. Oh, how cute! The yappers will surely give in to his lovely locks and sweet-as-pie good nature soon. Heck, he won me over through a computer screen!
Glad you had such a wonderful Christmas. :)

  9. How cute is Teddy Rose. I just had to call Buddy over here to check him out. Buddy has informed us he wants a Pet. A dog pet. A boy dog pet. A boy dog pet that has shepherd in him. The demands keep getting longer. Our friend has a dog he adores. I keep holding my ground with husband still in school, not working, that now is not the time to be taking on extra expenses. But they are so dang cute! I love that last pictre of Teddy…how cute is that? The yappers will just have to get over themselves. Did you show off your new quilt you won? I bet you did. I would have. Looks like a very Merry Christmas. I cannot wait to see the annual Gingerbread contest, it is always fun to read. I loved the sugar cookie contest.

  10. Oh. My. Goodness. OK, OK, you may be in the lead for cutest Christmas post. But I’m still having fun cruising around looking at all the post-Christmas posts.
    Thanks for sharing Teddy Rose!

  11. Adorable puppy! Sounds like a Merry Christmas was had by all. BTW, congrats on the winning of the fabulous quilt. Serious envy going on over here ;)

  12. Tedy is so and I love the name! You are brave to have a new puppy, established dogs, Christmas and carpet all in the mix!!! I can’t wait to see the gingerbread competition pictures.

    Have a great week!

  13. Can I be honest…. the Christmas countdown happened because last year I could put in an entry with a date ahead and it just left it first on the blog… the countdown was actually for this year, but the blog didn’t put it up til Christmas day. But I (think) I like it. After all, you don’y get called the Christmas Fairy for nothing. Have a lovely 2010, people and I’ll see you next Christmas!

  14. Oh yes! Someone DOES get a puppy under the tree! I love that – how awesome. And those dogs are so effin cute as puppies. CUDDLE HIM FOR ME. A LOT.

  15. Cute, cute, cute! It must have been so fun having a puppy in the house on Christmas day. Teddy Rose is adorable. Those poor yappers, though. Probably not what they wanted for Christmas!

  16. Dear Anna, So happy for the new pup! If you visit my blog, you’ll see another “Teddy”! It is the best name and we often call him Ted Ted…don’t even remember how that came about! Your blog is one of my favorites…so cheerful and fun! Happy New Year! Pam in Chico

  17. Whoa! For a minute there, I thought puppy was going to live in Thimbleanna land. Puppies are so, so, very cute, but they spell W-O-R-K. I think that living through toddler years (also spelled W-O-R-K with tons of fun and cute mixed in) with the triplets has cured me of ever, ever wanting a puppy. Love to enjoy others, though. Teddy Rose looks like he’s a keeper, for sure.

    Happy New Year!
    Cassie

  18. One way to steal the show – post pics of an adorable puppy! (I’m posting pics of babies this week – so I’m guilty too!)

Looking forward to the gingerbread house competition!

  19. I’m home! We just drove in from the airport and I was anxious to get online and check in on some of my friends and upload the pictures I took. I’m glad to hear you had a wonderful christmas and I loved all of the pictures too!

  20. What a sweet puppy.
Soon he’ll be kicking the yappers’ butts.
When my dog was a puppy, our other dog was less than kind. The new puppy got a *little* bigger than our old dog, and before too long, she was the boss.
I love that pic of him asleep between the boots.
    Happy New Year Anna Banana

  21. toooo cute but excuse me even his breed goldendoodle just sounds cute itself!!!!!!!

my grandad was called teddy (short for edwin) so love his name and love the pics with yappers!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Corrie:)

  22. Dear Anna
Teddy Rose has truely star- qualities.
So sweet and how wonderful the name fits.
I wish you and your family a happy new year.
    Janine

  23. He so cute! Love the last pic of him!! Too funny!

Cameras and Christmas seem to go hand in hand. I got a new lens for Christmas and I had a great time trying it out!

What kind of camera did your neice get?

  24. OHMYGOODNESS!!! How cute is that? A set of twins at school have a labradoodle. That is one big honkin dog. I mean BIG!!
    Lovin that new camera.
    Happy New Year Miss Anna.

  25. Adorable doggie. I especially love the pic of him between the shoes. My Christmas tree came down yesterday….I”m moving on!

  26. Ohhh! There’s nothing like a puppy. My kids would have been in heaven. They both want to cash in their lazy beagles for exuberant puppies (They say) I, however, do not miss the torn up socks and chewed up knitting needles, ha, ha.

  27. Merry Christmas, Anna! Teddy Rose is TOO cute!

In our decade of owning animals, we’ve tried to introduce several new cats to the family…but it never works–our kitties hide in the closet and won’t eat or come out until the ‘new’ cat is gone.

Of all the new additions to the family, Victor was the most challenging for the animals. XO
