Do You Feel Lucky?

Well, do you?  I’m sorry, but I’ve had Clint Eastwood’s voice ringing in my head all day.  Time for the bunny giveaway!  As I mentioned on my last post, I was so excited by your blog and bunny love (you guys are THE BEST readers and blog friends anywhere!) that I decided to give away two bunny pincushions.

The bunnies gathered around the giveaway bowl, as they were most anxious to see where they will be living.

Cupcake Bunnies

And then the trouble started.  Mr. Stick Me! Bunny just couldn’t stand himself and he started jumping around until it totally got out-of-hand.

Cupcake Bunnies

He landed upside down in the contestant bowl.

So, I did what any responsible bunny maker would do…I tied him up with leftover quilt binding.  (What?  Don’t tell me you’ve never wanted to tie some rowdy child up with quilt binding.  You know you have!)

There.  That’s better.  It kept him quiet too.  Now for Mr. Cupcake Bunny.

Cupcake Bunnies

Can you see it?  I know it’s hard…I printed in in little print so I didn’t kill too many trees.  (Yeah, yeah, I know I could have just done a random number generator, but I’m an old fashioned gal.)  Anyway….it’s Cassie!  You Go Girl!!!  (Hahaha, love saying that!)  I was so excited — Cassie has a great blog and she’s HYSTERICAL.  As is evidenced by her comment (click to enlarge.)  Cassie, it’s ok to stick pins in Mr. Cupcake Bunny.  He likes it.

Now for Mr. Stick Me! Bunny.  (He REALLY likes pins.  And quilt binding.)

Cupcake Bunnies

It’s Ms. Rohanknitter!  How exciting!  I’ve known Ms. Rohanknitter almost since the beginning of my blog life.  I’m her #2 goat fan.  The only reason I’m not #1 is because some goat fan hog beat me to it!  I just know Mr. Stick Me! Bunny is going to be very happy on the farm.

And, because I was having so much fun and couldn’t stop myself, I decided to throw in one of those Vera Bradley passport holders that I got at the big Vera Bradley sale last spring.  So, I drew another name.

Cupcake Bunnies

It’s the Queen.  Vallen.  Yipee!  Vallen is one of the most generous bloggers I know.  I love her blog and all of her projects and escapades.

So, Congratulations Ladies (and we’ll be in touch)!  I’m so sorry that I couldn’t give every one of you a bunny.  Thank You, Thank You, all of you for playing.  You’re all so wonderful and inspiring to me.  There will be more bunnies and if we do this for enough years, you’ll all soon have one — or you’ll all be sick of them LOL!

Have a great weekend and stay warm (or cool for those of you having summer!)

XOXO,
Anna

  1. It’s okay to stick pins in Mr Cupcake Bunny??? He LIKES quilt binding? What is up with him???

Congrats to the winners and thank you for the chuckles! I think this was the most entertaining giveaway winner announcement that I’ve read in a while!

  3. If you’ve got to hear voices in your head, it may as well be Clint Eastwood or maybe Alan Rickman. As for quilt binding for children, I’ve always preferred Duct Tape. Congrats to the winners,
off to explore their blogs now.

  4. Good gravy girl how did I miss the last post, yikes I’m off to read that one now. Congrats to those girls on their giftys – they will be good keepers of the bunnies. Your the one who is HYSTERICAL Ms. Thimble – those bunnies sure can get into a lot of trouble, LOL.

    Hugs – Karen

  5. congrats to the winners…i am laughing so hard at seeing mr. stick me bunny all gagged with quilt binding…bless his heart…you are a hoot…thank you for my daily funny…?

  6. Congratulations to those who won but I’ll be honest… I’m just a bit sad that one of the bunnies isn’t coming to my house. SIGH.

  7. Congratulations winners!

Funny story….when I was in 1st grade there was a boy in my class who ALWAYS got in trouble. I had a wonderful teacher, but she really had her hands full with this boy. Finally during class one day she said the only other thing she knew to do was tie him in his seat with the only thing she had available…pantyhose. So a couple of days later, when he started acting up again, guess what she did??? The kid was tied to his chair with a pair of pantyhose! It was really funny (especially to us girls!) The only thing I wonder is why my teacher had an extra pair of pantyhose just lying around the classroom :-)

  8. These bunny tales are a hoot! Mr.Stick Me bunny sure is a feisty fellow! I wish them both lots of luck in their new homes! Sob! Trouble is, if they came here they’d be sending you urgent messages to come and take them back to Thimbleannaland. Can you imagine hearing snippets of the emergency phone calls?
“Mom! How could you??? You should see the messy room I’m expected to live in! I can’t even find a clear space to make myself a little nest! I miss Hester! I miss you! I miss your neat and tidy sewing room! I miss the Empty nest Child! I miss Mr. Cupcake bunny! I even miss TMOTH! Besides, they don’t even serve carrots at chow time! Send the rescue squad quickly…..Or I won’t be responsible for the havoc I will wreak!”

  9. Congrats to the winners. I am trying to be gracious in defeat, but if you’ll just excuse me for a minute I am off to console myself with chocolate ;-)

  10. WOO HOO!!!!!! Come to me little Cupcake Rabbit. We will have an enchanted life together. There will be no rabbit voodoo on you. I meant what I said…No pins for you. Just sweet nothings whispered in your long lovely ears.

I’m so excited that I’m giddy. I have never won anything in my whole entire life. Really. 2009 is off to a great start. Thanks, Anna. I adore you!

And, a quilt binding hog-tie? I’d never thought of it. If I had, I probably would’ve used it. It’s much more attractive than duct tape. LOL!

  11. Congratulations to those lucky winners!! Are they ready for the naughtiness of your bunnies?

Having said that my beautiful bunny is always on his very best behaviour :-)

Thanks for the tip with the quilt binding – if only I’d known earlier in the week!!! There are two small people here who could have done with it – the joy of the first week back at school ;-)

    xxxx

  12. I am so tickled for all of your winners, what a blessing for them.

I quite enjoyed your post about the drawing process, makes me laugh out loud with the pure joy of it all.

  13. Congrats to the lucky bunny winners!! I hope the stick me bunny gets a more understanding mommy who won’t tie him up..tsk tsk :)

  14. Holy cats, did you just hear me squee the squee that could be heard from space!!!!????!!!! I hope little stick-me bunny isn’t afraid of goats, he looks a bit worried. Tell him we won’t ask him to go out to the barn during lambing and kidding when it’s about 8 degrees. I would have been over here squeeing even sooner but my internet’s been dead!! Those bunnies always are so full of it, I’m sure he’ll give me many smiles!!

  15. Congrats to the lucky winners. I am struggling here to catch up, having had so many visitors recently!

  20. Anna,
You are such a sweet person to ‘give away’ to others such lovely bunnies and a Vera Bradley case. You always take your kindness ‘one step further’.

    2. Your new header is soooooo adorable… snwmen with thimble hats… so perfect!

    3. I’m speechless about your Christmas quilts. They are beyond words! I love, love, love them! I wish you were my mother-in-law. That would be interesting as I’m older than you.

What are you going to create next? Can’t wait to see!
    Hugs,
    Joni

PS I actually used my sewing machine yesterday. Will post my finished product soon.

  21. Anna there really is something the matter with our keyboards, first the wrong name is typed out on my blog giveaway and then I find that not only one but two names have been typed incorrectly on yours … I shall have to go and sit somewhere quiet and tie myself up with quilt binding!
    Kimx
