Cupcake Swap Part II

Well Hello There! Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was great and VERY busy. I managed to keep up with my e-mail, but I didn’t get a chance to read any blogs, so I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to.  I did finally get a little bit of sewing done and I’ll show some of that later.

I was gone all day Saturday and when I got home after midnight I was VERY surprised to see that Sharon‘s cupcake swap package had arrived. My gosh, she mailed it on Thursday — it only took two days to get here! Sharon completely spoiled me — just LOOK at all the goodies (there was so much stuff I couldn’t get it all into one picture!):

Cupcake Swap

Sharon sent LOTS of Wilton goodies — a cupcake box, decorating tube with decorating tips, cupcake liners (both silicone and paper), sprinkles, and halloween cupcake picks.  Then there were little doodads like the measuring spoon, tiny sieve and an adorable cupcake card with a polka dotted hanky.  And then, that VERY COOL bake sale cookbook (THANKS Sharon — I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had that in my hands — I love it!).  Look at this cute little cake tester:

How Perfect!  Now, I don’t know what’s going on over at Sharon’s blog, but there’s some sort of debate going on about what a cupcake tester looks like.  Sharon…Hell-o!  I took a close-up picture for you — just in case you’ve forgotten LOL!

And if all of that weren’t enough, check out this adorable make-up bag.  Sharon’s been on a sewing frenzy making these for all of her peeps.  And look, it’s lined with that adorable Susan Branch fabric:

And last, but CERTAINLY not least…this ADORABLE little quilt:

How cute is that???  I LOVE it Sharon!  And look at all the details on the cupcakes:

Just cute as can be!  I love all the bead and button details!

THANK YOU THANK YOU Sharon — you’re a sweetheart!  I LOVE every last piece of my package.  You’re so very thoughtful and kind.  And an extra special thanks for hosting this swap.  Those of us who participated had a great time!

XOXO,
Anna

  1. oh man, that’s it. i refresh a million times, i go and make some tea and then there it is, a new post and a comment by SOMEONE ELSE!! (not naming names, RACHEL!) anna, in the interest of our friendship, and just because you know how much i like to be the first commenter… i think you should delete rachel’s comment and then tell her you don’t know what happened to it. i’ve known her for years, she’ll totally forgive you. i know she will. okay, FINE. i’ll be #2, AGAIN.
i love all the fun stuff you got from sharon. let us know if you make anything out of the cookbook. tonight it’s just me and my lemon shortbread. my mouth is watering. i’ll bit sitting on my sofa tonight… taking small bites of lemon shortbread and making little ‘mmmm’ sounds. so don’t try buggin’ me or anything. just think of me, eating cookies, in the dark, by myself, like a crazy person.

  2. Oohhh sorry that the little quilt got all wrinkly in the travel. Darn it!! I’m glad you like everything. I had fun making the things for you cause everyone knows YOU are very special to ME!!! And my BOO!!!!
So that’s what a cake tester looks like. And by the way, I did NOT say it was a tester Nancy NO BLOG did. I just wrote it. LOLOL
    Hugs!!!

  3. Oh what cute stuff you got from Sharon!! I love that little quilt!! Now I can’t wait to see what creative stuff you whip up with all those goodies!!!

  4. Hi There,
I’ve been away from the “blogging world” for a long time. Oh how I have missed your blog…I’m so glad I stopped by to see what you’ve been up to. Your blog is great!! Totally love all the cupcake stuff and oh my gosh, how cute is the little Raggedy Ann and her cupcakes! Hope you have a chance to stop by our blog again…if you do, check out “Gidget’s First Movie”. I really should be getting ready for quilt market but I thought I’d try my hand at movie making. Take care and so glad I’m back.

  5. Lots of yummy goodness in that box from Ms. Sharon. That little quilt is sooo darn cute and I love the detail on the cupcake as well. This was soooo much fun. Sounds like you had great weekend – is it really Tuesday already :)

    Hugs – Karen

  6. Now I’m really sad I wasn’t part of the exchange. So, many cute things. I love it! Enjoy all of your goodies and I’d love to see the inside of that book if you ever get the chance. Thanks! Have a great day!

  7. Oh my, what a haul and so full of cuppycake goodness. I have never seen such pretty cupcake liners before. You’re a lucky gal!
    Aloha!

  8. Quite the cupcake haul you got there :-)!! Very nice. I just copied off your tutorial on your makeup bag….being a zipper phobic person I think your instructions make it look easy!

  9. Our Queen is one talented and lovely woman, is she not?!? You made out like a bandit, Anna my dear!! I love everything, but that little quilt is cute, cute, cute!!! If you ever get tired of the quilt, I would very happily give it a home!! You deserve every wonderful gift in that package!

  10. Anna – you lucky dog! What a great package. I need to go and start buying things for my new Cupcake Tier. Thanks for the Birthday love for me and My mom. You’re a sweetheart! Have a great rest of the week! Take care!

  11. How absolutely gorgeous!!!! So many beautiful things – and I’d never realised you could get PROPER cake testers – I’ve always relied on an old skewer – how much more fun it would be with something as cute as that cupcake one! Maybe it would make me capable of baking cakes – not my forte!

  12. Ooh, ooh, ooh! Goodies! With an adorable quilt, too! The beading and button work were my favorite details. Wonderful work, Sharon….wherever you are.

I swear, Anna, I can practically smell all of your baked goodies every time I stop by! Very fun for a pregnant woman with cravings. The last time I was on here, I whipped up a batch of my great-grandmother’s teacakes. Yum!

  13. I think you must be part of an evil conspiracy to make us all fat! Think about doing a blogpost on broccoli salad, or something healthy, but nonetheless yummy, for a change. I’m getting tired of mopping drool off this nice new computer!
That Sharon is something! Just whips these cute things out like it’s no bother. When does she sleep is what I want to know…When do YOU sleep come to think of it. When I finish something I always put it up on the blog—crave the adulation! But. Have you noticed how rarely I have anything to brag about? I’d like you guys to share your secrets!
