Lots O’ Goodies

Wow.  Thanks for all of your wonderful comments on my last post.  I had so much fun reading them all, and now I’m armed with some really great ideas for little random acts of kindness.  If you need any suggestions, head over to the comments — you’ll be inspired!

Christmas is now right around the corner and I’m starting to panic!  To make things worse, I’d planned on being off of work starting this Friday, and now I’ll have to work at least part of that time.  Boo.  Hisssssss!!!!   There’s been no fun Christmas crafting going on around here.  No package wrapping.  No baking.  Some decorating and a tidbit of shopping though.  And…a super fun early gift exchange.  I was lucky enough to get lots of goodies and thought I’d show you the crafty bits.

Christmas Gifts

My friends know I love to knit and sew so they spoiled me.  Did you catch those adorable little sheepie knitting stitch markers?  They’re pretty tiny, but I think it would be fun to try and make some of those.  Toooo cute!

Christmas Gifts

And my buddy who gave me the cute Santa fabric bundle thought the Santa would make an adorable napkin ring.  How cute (and easy!) would those be decorating your Christmas table?

Christmas Gifts

If you buddies are reading — You. Guys. Rock!  Thank You — I love all of my goodies.  I’m so fortunate to have such wonderful friends!

And Look Looky!  What do we have here???  The PIPS are in the house — Woohoo!!!  The Sherbet Pips by Aneela Hoey.  If you’ve been following along, you know I love these cute little Pips.  They’re a new fabric line by Moda (well, by the super cute Aneela Hoey, to be more precise) and the fabric won’t be available until April 2011.  I have just a few precuts available though and I thought I’d pop them into the store.

Pips

Be the first one on your block to own the Pips LOL!  I won’t have time to get them into the store until Friday, but if you’d like to secure yours ahead of time (and get them in the mail more quickly) just leave me a comment or send an e-mail (anna@thimbleanna.com) and I’ll send you a paypal invoice.  The fat quarter pack (hurry, there’s only ONE) sells for $74.00 + postage  and the charm packs are $9.00 each + postage SOLD (thank you!).

Now, go forth and make merry — there’s only 9 days until the big day — YIPES!!!

XOXO,
Anna

  1. Friday evening my hubs and I are going Christmas shopping. Much later than usual, but I don’t mind. This year I have been super relaxed about the whole thing. :)

My Sherbet Pips precuts all sold in one day. Sheesh! I am sure glad I set one aside for myself! Aubry needs a quilt from that line, don’t you think?

  2. The sheep? Adorable! They were the first things I saw! The PIPS? Love them!! I feel a bit frazzled with my gift preparation, too. Baking tomorrow. Sewing on the weekend.

  3. Hi Anna!
Your last post was really inspiring. This week I waited at the station of the subway to get home when I got out the quilting magazine that I just pulled out the mailbox the day. A woman was nearby and she saw it ~ and guess what! She was also a quilter (and this in Germany! There aren’t THAT many of us). We talked a bit when the idea struck me: I gave her the mag…. I know it isn’t spectacular…but I felt quite good doing this and the lady was happy (I think she didn’t know American magazines before). :)

Your goodies are sooo cute ~ love the napkin ring …especially with the red/white polka dot fabric!!!

So, now I’ll try my luck with the Sherbet pips!
    Hugs, Julia

  4. Those sheepie stitch markers are very sweet! And the fabric – I’m feeling the need to start a fabric stash! Hope you manage to keep the christmas panic at bay and get all you need to get done with the greatest of ease. Have a fab Christmas Anna x

  5. Oh my goodness, your goodie are AWESOME! That Santa is killing me — I feel the need to make one but I have too many things on my to-do list! I met the woman behind SOAK at market and she was very cool, I got a sample of the product but haven’t used it yet…

  6. Awesome goodies, Anna! You have some wonderful friends! I too have some shopping to finish up (hopefully tomorrow) and baking to start. Thankfully Christmas is at the END of the week!

  7. Gorgeous goodies – I love the stitch markers!! I spent most of today working on a quilt for my son’s new girlfriend – I have never sewed for so many hours in one go – only a short break for lunch!! I was talking to a friend about Christmas yesterday – just as she said that she loved to receive presents, I said I love to give presents …..

  8. Oh Oh! Sherber Pips! I am hyperventelating (sp?) at the thought! Please tell me I am not too late and that you will post to the UK. I am sending you an email now!

  10. Aw, I love those sweet little sheep ring markers! I too, am in a bit of a panic over the fast approaching Christmas day. I don’t know how it seems to sneak up on me, but it happens every year. :)

  11. Those stitch markers are just adorable! I have to say I’m starting to breathe a bit easier now that most of my gifts have been delivered.

  12. I finally found a minute to see what you are up too. You lucky duck. I love those gifts, especially the sheep things…if only I could knit! And the sherbet pips…I’m smitten. I’m also slow. I missed the sale. Guess I’ll be waiting until April like the rest of the commoners. LOL!

    Take care,
    Cassie

  13. Ooh, I see you received flora Soak! How funny– I just mentioned how wonderful it smells in my last post. Sweet gifts, I love those litle sheep stitch holders.

  14. Those sheep are too cute. They are so fun!
I thought I was the only one behind. I’m getting there, but usually am coasting and enjoying by now.

  15. kkk, what sweet gifts for a sweet girl. Well there is always panic about this time of year but somehow it all comes together, somehow xoxo Clarice

  16. Hi Anna,
I think it was lovely to do what you did for a stranger. It is fun to do something for others when they least expect it- I made bracelets for staff members over this past year- We had a major reno in our school and it began for the two women who were in the gym and survived it – I thought they deserved recognition. As time went on I have made for other staff members who were re located and survived the transplanting. I have about two or three more left and then I will have made about 30 of them. It was fun to do – they were all black stones with silver and were well received by the ladies. Our classic school line – it is in a box and some stuff is still in a box…
Maybe by next year at this time I will have everything sorted Lol
Yesterday was the end of school term so I am now on break- perhaps I will get to think about Christmas and get things organized for next Saturday. LOL
    Regards,
    Anna

  17. Not a lot of Christmas goodness going on over here thanks to a soul sucking job sigh . . . but I’m trying to stay positive, having a cup of gingerbread coffee before heading off to the salt mine this morning. :)

I love those stitch markers! Too cute. I’ve been gifted with a few sets myself and use them often.

    Merry Christmas!
