Holy Cow — it’s been a wild week here this week. I’ve been running around with my head cut off to get everything done for our little break. The kids and I (poor little ManoftheHouse will be holding down the fort here with the KittyKats) are leaving in the morning and we’re going to Glacier National Park and Banff National Park for some hiking and fresh air. We were hoping to camp out a little — I dug the 30-year old tent out of the attic and set it up.
When I unpacked the tent, it was missing a tent pole — not sure where it is. Could be lost in the attic, or maybe someone forgot to pack it up with the tent. Weird. I ended up enlisting the aid of a nice man at Lowe’s and we made a new tent pole. Sadly, we won’t be using it though — no room in the car for a tent and a bunch of sleeping bags. Some of us are clothes horses LOL!
I also managed to get the little doll quilt done.
Every little doll needs a quilt!

Gorgeous little dolly quilt. Have fun on your hols; we did a similar thing years ago and we had a blast although we didn’t do the camping bit as I’m averse to camping (ever since my husband (then boyfriend) took me camping in Island). I swore never again. We’re off to Denmark and Sweden today, hoping for good weather.

sounds like a good trip planned and I have been to both of those places and loved them! have fun with the kids – but why does hubby stay home – :( or maybe he is not a back to nature kind of guy.

Haha. We went camping this last weekend in Capitol Reef and we got the tent bag open there and we were missing the rope for the canopy. No idea where it went. That’s what we get for lending it to people! However we did get it in the car. Have a great trip! I can’t wait to hear about it.

okay i got scared when i saw that tent up…. it doesn’t look so inviting but then again i’m sort of an RV kinda camping girl. can’t wait to see pics from your trip. i love the little doll quilt. i used that same dog/aqua/aneela print in the little quilt i made for you know who.
